FAQ
What types of eBooks do you edit?
I can work on nonfiction eBooks, short stories, novels, guides, self-help books, and other general manuscripts, provided the subject and scope are suitable. Please message me first if your book contains highly specialized or technical material.
What is the difference between proofreading and copy editing?
Proofreading focuses on spelling, grammar, punctuation, and typographical errors. Copy editing also improves sentence clarity, wording, consistency, and readability while preserving your intended meaning.
Can you edit my full book?
Yes, subject to the manuscript's word count, editing needs, and agreed deadline. Please contact me before ordering a full-length manuscript so I can assess the scope and provide an appropriate offer.
Which file formats do you accept?
DOCX is preferred because it supports editing and tracked changes. Please contact me before sending PDF, EPUB, or another format to confirm what is possible.
Will you change my writing style?
I aim to preserve your voice, meaning, and intended tone. I will make appropriate corrections and clarity improvements without changing your message unnecessarily
Do you provide developmental editing?
Developmental editing involves broader work on structure, plot, organization, argument, and content. It is not included in my standard proofreading package, but we can discuss a suitable custom scope if I can provide the service.
Do you format eBooks for Amazon Kindle?
Kindle formatting is separate from text editing. Please contact me to confirm whether you need formatting and whether your desired output is supported by my current service.
Do you offer revisions?
Yes. Each package includes one revision for adjustments within the original agreed scope. New chapters, substantial rewrites, or additional words may require an extra or custom offer.
What do you need before starting?
Please provide your manuscript, word count, genre, preferred English variant, editing requirements, and any style guide or formatting instructions you would like me to follow.
Can you deliver within 24 hours?
Fast delivery depends on the word count, manuscript condition, and current workload. Please contact me first to confirm availability before ordering an urgent project.
