FAQ
Do you work with ESL writers?
Yes. I work regularly with international doctoral candidates writing in academic English as a second language. I correct grammar and syntax while preserving your argument and voice exactly as written.
What citation styles do you cover?
APA 7, Chicago 17, and MLA 9. Specify your required style guide when ordering and I will flag citation inconsistencies throughout your document.
What if my document is longer than 120 pages?
Message me before ordering with your page count and deadline. I accommodate longer manuscripts and can arrange a custom package and timeline.
What is your editing process?
I read the full document before editing to understand your argument and structure. I then work at the paragraph level for logic and flow before moving to sentence-level corrections. All edits are delivered in tracked changes with margin comments explaining every substantive suggestion.
Do you edit one chapter at a time or the full document?
Both. The Basic package covers a single chapter or literature review. Standard and Premium cover larger portions or the full manuscript. Message me if you want to start with one chapter before committing to the full document.
What format should I send my document in?
Google Docs or Microsoft Word (.docx) preferred as both support tracked changes and margin comments. If you have a different format, message me before ordering, and we can discuss options.
Will you change my argument or rewrite my content?
No. My edits are limited to grammar, syntax, punctuation, and academic register. Your argument, theoretical framework, and scholarly voice are preserved exactly as written. I correct, I do not rewrite.
Can you help with APA formatting beyond citations?
Yes. I flag heading levels, spacing, margins, reference list formatting, and in-text citation consistency throughout. Specify APA 7 when ordering and note any specific formatting requirements your institution has.
Do you provide a summary of changes made?
Yes. On Standard and Premium orders I include a brief editorial summary noting patterns corrected and any recurring issues to watch in future drafts. This is particularly useful for ESL writers and students developing their academic writing skills.
What if I need revisions after delivery?
Revisions are included — 1 for Basic, 2 for Standard, 3 for Premium. Revisions cover changes within the original scope. New content added after delivery may require a new order.
