· A professionally-edited and proofread manuscript of high quality, ready for
publication, following the stylesheet that you submit.
· Up to 4,500 edits for the Lighter Editing package. The level of concepts may be
more basic, concrete, or narrative.
· 4,501 to 6,000 edits for the Intermediate Editing package. The level of concepts may be intermediate.
· Over 6,000 edits for the Advanced Editing package. The level of concepts may be more advanced or abstract.
The quality that I deliver is the same in all three packages; the main difference is in the amount of work needed to get there.

FAQ
Can you provide a sample edit?
Of course! I can edit the first two pages so you can see what you will be getting. These will only be part of the final bill if you decide to hire me.
What are your Quality Assurance procedures?
I follow a list of steps to take care of punctuation, spelling, and formatting issues. Whenever I make a new kind of edit, I run through the entire manuscript to find more instances of the same kind of edit.
Can I review your work in progress?
You can review whatever I consider finished. This can help us stay on the same track.
What tools do you use to speed up your edits and make them more consistent?
I not only use Word's search and replace features, but I also use macros that I write to speed up edits and ensure consistency. These tools can save hundreds of hours compared to manual editing.
Do you apply styles to text in a book?
Always. Everything in a book must have a style applied, such as Title Subtitle Heading 1 Heading 2 Heading 3 Basic Paragraph Numbered List Etc. These styles are crucial for every step that follows, through graphic design. When done, I will leave almost nothing styled as “Normal”.
Can you deliver the final product with Track Changes included?
Absolutely. I will include Track Changes as I go along anyway, and normally remove them only as the last step.
Can you insert footnotes and endnotes using Word's features?
Absolutely. Just let me know whether you prefer footnotes or endnotes.
Can you insert Citations and Bibliography/Works Cited?
Yes, using Word's Citations and Sources features. The Bibliography or Works Cited will be auto-generated in the style that you choose: APA, Chicago, MLA, etc. Word takes care of all the formatting in these matters.
Can you create a Table of Contents that's updated as changes are made?
Yes, I will use Word's Table of Contents features to insert the needed information and keep it updated as the chapters and pages are modified. These updates are semi-automatic.
Can you create an Index?
I'm sure I can create an Index, though I have never done one. I have included an initial estimate of $0.01 per word of the manuscript to create an Index. I will revise this estimate as experience shows me what to charge.
