Q: What genres do you specialize in reading and editing?
A: I primarily focus on fiction, including Fantasy, Science Fiction, Romance, Mystery, Thriller, Young Adult (YA), and Contemporary/Literary Fiction. If your book falls outside these genres, please message me first so we can make sure it’s a great fit.
Q: What is the difference between Beta Reading, Proofreading, and Copy Editing?
Beta Reading: Focuses on the structure, pacing, character arcs, world-building, and reader engagement. (No grammar corrections). Proofreading: Mechanical pass to fix typos, spelling errors, punctuation, and grammatical slips. Copy Editing: Full sentence restructuring to improve flow and readability.
Q: What file formats do you accept, and how do you return the work?
A: Please submit your manuscript as a Word document (.doc or .docx). For Standard and Premium packages, I return your manuscript using Microsoft Word’s Tracked Changes feature so you can review and accept/reject every edit, alongside a clean final copy and your separate PDF Reader Report.
Q: Do you accept non-fiction books?
A: My primary passion and specialty lie in fiction. However, I am open to narrative-driven non-fiction or memoirs on a case-by-case basis. Please send me a message with your word count and a short sample before ordering!
Q: What if my word count doesn't fit the exact package limits?
A: No problem at all. If your manuscript word count falls between packages or is a full-length novel (e.g., 50k+ words), send me a message, and I will create a custom, tailored offer with a clear delivery timeline.
Q: Do you handle AI-assisted or AI-generated manuscripts?
A: Yes, I do. For the Premium package, I help polish AI-assisted drafts by smoothing out repetitive sentence structures, removing robotic phrasing, and ensuring a natural, human voice. (Please note: I do not generate text from scratch; I only edit and refine what you provide).
