As your book editor, I will provide professional line editing and/or copy editing services.

All novel editing packages include fixing spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors, as well as continuity and logic issues. Standard (Medium Edit), and premium packages (Heavy Edit) include:
- Refining sentence construction for clarity and flow.
- Correcting run-on sentences to improve readability.
- Enhancing the clarity of each sentence and paragraph.
- Adjusting the pacing within and between sentences.
- Suggesting more precise or impactful words.
- Ensuring consistency in tone, tense, and style.
- Maintaining and enhancing the author's unique narrative voice.

I use CMOS and Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary for reference, as well as Microsoft Word for tracking changes and making in-line comments. I am a member of ACES and EFA. I have a BA in Creative Writing and an Editing certificate from the University of California-Berkeley.

Unfortunately, no. I only work on manuscripts that were written by a human.

Yes, I work with all genres, including children’s fiction. Whether your work is fantasy, romance, YA, mystery, or anything in between, I tailor my editing to suit your genre and audience. I do prefer content warnings for darker themes or sensitive material so I can approach the edit appropriately.
What does line and copy editing include?
I focus on polishing your manuscript by correcting grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors while enhancing sentence structure and word choice for better readability. I ensure your writing flows smoothly, improving clarity and style without altering your voice.
What formats do you accept?
I accept Word documents (.doc/.docx) for easy commenting and tracking changes.
Will you provide in-line comments and feedback?
Yes, I'll include in-line or margin comments for suggestions on improving readability and style.
How do you handle revisions?
I offer one round of revisions if you have questions or require adjustments after receiving the edited manuscript.
How should I format my manuscript?
All manuscripts should be submitted in a Word file using 1-inch margins, 12-pt Times New Roman font, and be double-spaced.
Can I send you my google docs file?
No, I require all projects I work on to be submitted as a Microsoft Word file.
