FAQ
What kind of clients do you typically work with?
Doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and journal authors preparing manuscripts for submission or resubmission. If you're unsure whether your project fits, message me with a brief description.
What does this service actually involve, beyond editing?
In addition to line-level editing, I review structure, argument clarity, and how well the manuscript meets your target journal’s expectations, drawing on my publication experience.
Do you guarantee journal acceptance?
No. I provide expert editing and positioning guidance, not a guarantee. Acceptance depends on many factors outside any editor’s control, including peer review and journal fit.
Can you help with a specific target journal?
Yes, share the journal name or field and I'll tailor formatting and positioning feedback accordingly, drawing on my experience with Q1 and Q2 journals.
Do you help with reviewer responses?
Yes, response-to-reviewer drafting and resubmission support are available with Standard and Premium, or as an add-on.
What's your publication background?
PhD holder, IEEE Technical Co-Chair, and author of 30+ peer-reviewed publications, including Q1 and Q2 journals, across active research work.
How is confidentiality handled for unpublished research?
All manuscripts are treated as confidential. I don’t share, reference, or reuse client research in any form.
What's the difference between this and your other gig?
The other gig covers general thesis and dissertation editing. This gig is for researchers who need publication-level editing and journal-submission guidance specifically.
