What is the difference between your Basic and Standard Packages?
The Basic Package (Proofreading) focuses only on fixing errors: grammar, spelling, and punctuation. The Standard Package (Substantive Editing) includes proofreading, PLUS improvements to sentence structure, word choice, clarity, flow, and tone.
What format do you accept for documents?
I primarily work with Microsoft Word (.docx) as it allows me to use the "Track Changes" feature. This enables you to easily review every single edit I make. I can also accept Google Docs, but please confirm before ordering.
Will you check the content for plagiarism?
Plagiarism checks are not included in the standard packages. However, you can purchase the "Plagiarism Check Report" Add-On, and I will provide a verification report (e.g., from Copyscape) guaranteeing originality.
What if my document is over 10,000 words?
Please message me first with your total word count and timeline! I am happy to offer a discounted, custom quote for long-form projects, such as full book manuscripts or dissertations.
Do you rewrite or revise the factual content of the document?
My service is focused on improving the language and clarity of your existing content. I will correct errors and improve flow, but I do not add new research, verify the truth of every single claim, or rewrite large sections (which is considered Ghostwriting).
