About this Gig
Hi, I'm Georgia, a wordsmith and academic with 5+ years experience in proofreading and editing your written words. I am based in the UK and hold a degree from a prestigious UK university. I have the education and experience to support you through refining your work to perfection.
I will proofread and edit your articles, blog posts, essays, short stories, personal statements and just about anything else you need!
I am a working professional with several years experience in writing for business, and also specialise in writing for leisure. I work quickly and efficiently and will always provide you with comprehensive and thorough feedback to ensure that your writing is edited to the highest standard.
I do not use any AI programmes in my edits and will not upload your work to any platforms.
I will:
- Check your grammar, spelling, capitalisation and punctuation, and edit where necessary
- Check the flow and structure of your sentences, to ensure quality word flow
- Suggest sentence rewrites where appropriate
- Manually proofread your writing to mitigate risk of errors
- Provide a speedy turnaround where needed
I look forward to hearing about how I can best assist you with your projects!

FAQ
Do you use AI or ChatGPT in your proofreading/editing?
Absolutely not. Unlike some freelancers, I do not use any third party AI programmes when proofreading - only human eyes. I am the only individual who will see your work.
Is the work completed by you or third-parties? Is my information confidential?
100% of all work is completed by me. I am not part of a team, just one dedicated person who is committed to your confidentiality and success. Unlike other resume-writers, I do not share a portfolio or samples of my work for this reason, and never share any information or data with third-parties.
What information do you need from me?
As standard, I will require your piece of writing in an editable format. Or you can reach out to me directly at any time and I can let you know exactly what I require from you in order to get started!
Do you provide proofreading for novels?
Yes, absolutely! I love to proofread novels and have experience proofreading novels of 120,000+ words across different genres. Drop me a message to see if I am the right fit for this project - sharing a novel is a deeply personal decision and I would be honoured to help.
Can you proofread emails and messages?
I certainly can and these jobs make up the majority of proofreading that I complete on this platform. Whether you want to check the tone on an important email, or have an entire letter written from scratch, I am happy to help.
I can only see options for up to 10000 words. Can you review pieces longer than this?
Yes and I am happy to do so. Please reach out to me with your project and I will gladly provide you with a quote.

Ongoing collaborationGeorgia is so polite and professional. She recently helped me with my CV and this order was for assistance with proofreading answers to an application. Again she took the time to understand the brief and the outcome was perfect, delivered two days early as well as I told her that the job posting was due to close soon. Thank you again for your help!
