I will alpha or beta read your story and give feedback

I'm new to Fiverr and my prices will reflect that, but what this Gig focuses on is the Alpha/ Beta read.

In the Alpha read, I'll focus on reading constructively, looking for things like character development, plot, pacing, etc. It's sort of what you'd get from the developmental side of things, except that what I do is read through and tell you what still needs work, which scenes fell a little flat, which characters I failed to sympathize with, which plot points didn't make sense, etc. The point of my Alpha read is to be critical and constructive. If I loved something, I will tell you, but if the story needs work, I won't pretend otherwise.

In the beta read, I'll read through your story from a reader's perspective. I will tell you which scenes bored me, which characters I loved, what my overall impression was. For me, a beta read is what happens near the end of the process; it's one of the final steps before submitting to agents and publishers. As such, I will read under the assumption that everything else has already been done, and I will give you my honest thoughts and opinions on your story and your characters the same way I would if I was reviewing an already published work.
