First off, congrats on finishing your story! I am happy to hear you are seeking a beta reader. As a writer myself, I know that getting advice from peers can give you peace of mind.
As your beta reader, I will read your work and then create a critique letter. The letter will address the following craft elements:
I will also answer questions such as:
Would I recommend this book?
Which characters did I connect with, and why?
Did I find the storyline believable (even if this is Sci-Fi or Fantasy)?
Was the tense and POV the best choice for the story and the writing style?
Was there any part of the writing that I skimmed? Why?
Were all issues (especially subplots/secondary storylines) resolved?
And of course, before I start a project, I welcome and recommend that you let me know of anything specific that you would like me to focus on. I will make sure to address those concerns first.

What genres do you critique?
Literary, horror, romance, erotica, thriller, Sci-Fi, fantasy, YA, Middle grade, women's fiction, graphic novel, and comic books. I pretty much am open to everything except for children's picture books and poetry. However, when in doubt, please message me, and I will get back to you.
Do you read longer than 85,000 words?
Yes, I do. Most completed novels run a little longer and sit around the 80,000 to 100,000 words (depending on the genre). Because I wanted to include short story critiques, I was not able to add the longer word count novels. Please message me and we can discuss pricing for this. Thank you!
Do you offer line edits or proof read grammar and mechanics?
Yes, I do. If you are interested in a more in-depth edit, please feel free to message me, and we can discuss pricing and timeline for either service. Line edits will point out exact places in your story that could use improvement. I will also point out repeated grammar issues such as comma splices.
