WELCOME TO MY PROOFREADING GIG!! And...might I say, welcome to the millions around the world that call themselves authors. YOU DID IT! I'm a professional proofreader, freelance writer, former journalist, and author.
What you can expect from this gig:
- Proofreading is done completely by myself. I neither outsource nor use any writing programs to edit documents.
- You'll receive two documents back: The first will have track changes provided for you in a Word document. The second document is a clean copy.
- Expert feedback from a professional author who knows the industry.
- Responsive feedback and communication throughout the editing process.
- I proofread books in American, Australian, British, and Canadian variations of English.

What is your experience as an editor?
I started in a college newsroom, working my way from a reporter to a desk editor (who gave out news assignments). I have been a proofreader and copyeditor both professional and collegiate newspapers, blogs and newsletters. I have worked as a journalist for two professional newspapers.
What type of editor do you consider yourself?
A line editor & copy editor. I edit slow and accurately, reading your document line by line to check for errors. These errors are related to grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax and many others. I also check to see if you misused a word (such as using its instead of it's.)
Are you a native English speaker?
Yes. I was born in the United States. I have always lived here and am fluent in the language.
Do you do custom orders?
Absolutely! If my gigs do not fit your needs then send me a message. I'm happy to get to work on your document.
What files are you able to edit?
Pages documents (Macbook), PowerPoint documents, and .doc/.docx files.
What if I'm unhappy with the work you do?
Please send me a message. I pride myself on 100% customer satisfaction. I would rather correct my mistakes than to receive a bad review.
