Hi, I'm Jessie. I offer 100% human book proofreading, editing, and formatting. I know how much time, effort, and heart goes into writing, whether its a book or document. That's why I treat every project with the same care and attention I'd want for my own work. My goal is to polish your work so your voice shines through, free from errors or distractions.
I do not use AI, although I'm happy to work on text written with AI.
What to expect:
- I'll edit your document (.doc or .docx) using MS Word's Track Changes.
- You'll get two files: one with all edits visible and one clean copy.
- I'll provide thoughtful feedback and, if needed, developmental notes to help strengthen your work.
- After you approve the edited copy, I'll format the manuscript, delivering Print and EBOOK copies.
Editing: Grammar, Spelling, Punctuation, Sentence structure, Readability, Redundancy, Repetition, Tenses, Pacing, Tone, Clarity, and Flow issues.
Formatting: Proper font choice and sizing, creating a table of contents, paragraph indentation and alignment, accurate pagination, trim size, bleed and gutter settings, etc

What language conventions are you conversant in?
British English, US English, Australian English and Canadian English.
Do you provide formatting services?
Yes I do! This gig offers proofreading, editing, and formatting services in one tidy package!
Do you offer revisions?
Yes, I offer two revisions per order. If I make an error or errors in the finished job that is clearly in contradiction to the original specifications of the order placed, I will fix them at no charge. Revisions do not include change orders.
What is a change order?
Any requests made at any stage of the editing, that were not agreed upon in the contract. These include: 1. Addition to the work agreed in the contract. 2. Omission to work agreed in the contract. 3. Substitution or alteration to work agreed in the contract. I will charge a new fee for this.
