Now comes the part most first-time authors dont expect - Formatting, Amazon KDP, trim sizes, ISBNs, categories, proof copies, Kindle files it can quickly become overwhelming.
I know because I've been there.
When I self-published my own book, Balancing on Water, I learnt the entire process from manuscript to published author. I discovered that writing the book was only half the journey; the technical side was a learning curve all of its own.
Now I'd love to help you navigate those final steps with confidence.
Please note: I am not a developmental editor, publisher or cover designer. If your manuscript requires editing before publication, I'm happy to recommend working with a professional editor first or a cover designer for that polished book cover you will love.
My role is helping you prepare and publish a manuscript that is already ready for production and help you to navigate the process from formatting to upload on KDP.

Can you edit my manuscript?
I provide proofreading, formatting and self-publishing support. If your manuscript requires developmental or copy editing before publication, I'm happy to recommend working with a professional editor before we begin formatting.
What file format should I send?
Please send your manuscript as a Microsoft Word (.docx) file. This allows me to format your book in Atticus and prepare files for Amazon KDP.
Do I need to have my manuscript finished before ordering?
Yes. Your manuscript should be complete and ready for formatting. If you're still making significant changes, I recommend waiting until the content is final before placing your order.
Can you help if this is my first book?
Absolutely! In fact, that's who I love working with most. I recently navigated the self-publishing journey myself, so I understand how overwhelming the final steps can feel. My goal is to make the process simple, clear and enjoyable.
Do you publish the book for me?
I guide you through preparing your book for Amazon KDP and can provide support with the upload process. You remain the publisher and retain full ownership and control of your book and Amazon account.
Can you guarantee my book will be accepted by Amazon KDP?
I'll prepare your files to meet Amazon KDP's current formatting requirements and do everything I can to ensure a smooth upload. However, Amazon makes the final decision on all submissions and may occasionally request minor changes
Do you design book covers?
No. My focus is helping authors prepare their manuscript for publication. If you need a cover designer, I'm happy to point you in the right direction.
What types of books do you work with?
I primarily work with non-fiction books, including memoirs, self-help, personal development, coaching and business books. If you have another genre, feel free to send me a message before ordering.
