FAQ
What genres do you have the most experience with?
I read many different kinds of books regularly. I can offer advice for nearly anything, but I tend to lean towards the following: Historical Fiction, Fiction, Fantasy, Thriller, Romance, Graphic novel (this includes Manga) and Children's Literature.
What is the difference between proofreading, line editing, and developmental editing?
Proofreading corrects mechanical errors such as punctuation, spelling, grammar, and incorrect syntax. Line editing provides proofreading and sentence structure, revisions, and impact. Developmental editing is an overarching review of setting, tone, voice, plot, and character structural revisions.
What formats do you work with?
Google docs or Microsoft Word documents work best as it allows me to utilize track changes for comments.
Do you work with children's literature?
Yes! I have two younger brothers whom I help with their writing classes as they move on to their middle and high school years.
Why should I hire you?
I am detailed-oriented, collaborative, and a passionate content editor with 2+ years of experience editing, proofreading, and managing print publications. Currently employed at LexisNexis, but I have a background in art history and fiction theory. I've attended two Pikes Peak Writer's conferences!
