Are you a native English speaker?
Yes! I was born and raised in the United States and completed bachelor's and master's degrees there before moving abroad. I am also comfortable standard UK English, given my extensive international experience.
Do you work with non-native English speakers?
Absolutely! I have extensive experience editing scientific and academic articles by non-native English speakers for publication in journals in English. I will ensure your document not only has proper grammar and spelling, but also sounds authentic!
How do you provide edits?
I provide a .doc or .pages file with tracked changes and comments. I can also work with buyers who prefer to use Google Docs.
What is your background in editing?
I have been passionate the details of language since I learned sentence diagramming in middle school! I started editing professionally as a student for a journal published by my university, and later joined a large organization as a copy editor and then managing editor of a scientific journal.
