What do you edit?
The genres I read are fantasy (all sub-genres), science fiction, Christian fiction, contemporary, literary fiction, historical fiction, dystopian, thriller, mystery, middle grade, children's picture books. I will also read nonfiction on a case-by-case basis. I DO NOT read erotica or horror.
What do you cover in your proofreading?
This isn't a comprehensive edit, but rather a set of eyes to catch any spelling and grammar mistakes, continuity errors, and punctuation issues. I work to ensure readability so the reader's immersion isn't broken by pesky errors.
What file format should I send my work in?
I accept .doc, .docx, .odt, or a link to your Google Doc with the editing permissions turned on.
Are you able to meet my deadline?
I do my best to finish proofreading based on the delivery date outlined in your chosen package. But life happens! If there will be a delay, I will let you know ASAP.
Why should I hire a proofreader instead of using Grammarly or a similar tool?
Because robots aren't always accurate! It's always a good idea to have a pair of human eyes look at your work.
