FAQ
1. What types of books do you edit?
I edit fiction, nonfiction, novels, memoirs, self-help books, children's books, eBooks, workbooks, journals, and manuscripts intended for Amazon KDP and other publishing platforms.
2. What is the difference between proofreading and editing?
Proofreading focuses on correcting grammar, spelling, punctuation, typos, and formatting inconsistencies. Editing goes further by improving sentence structure, clarity, readability, consistency, and the overall flow of your writing.
3. Will you rewrite my book?
No. I will improve grammar, clarity, and readability while preserving your unique writing style and voice. If extensive rewriting is needed, please contact me before placing an order.
4. How will I receive my edited manuscript?
You'll receive two files: A version with Tracked Changes showing all edits and suggestions. A clean, finalized copy with all accepted changes.
5. Is my manuscript kept confidential?
Absolutely. Your manuscript and all project files are treated with complete confidentiality and are never shared with anyone.
6. What file formats do you accept?
I typically work with Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), which allows me to use Track Changes. If you have another file format, please send me a message before ordering.
7. Can you edit books longer than your listed packages?
Yes. If your manuscript exceeds the package limits, simply send me your word count, and I'll create a custom offer that fits your project.
8. Do you use AI or automated proofreading tools?
No. Every manuscript is carefully proofread and edited manually to ensure accurate, high-quality results.
9. What if I have special editing requirements?
No problem. Send me a message before placing your order, and I'll discuss your requirements and recommend the best solution.
