Can you help me publish my book, too?
Yes! I have years of experience publishing on Amazon KDP and IngramSpark. See my other gigs for all-inclusive publishing packages that'll take you from draft to book in hand.
Do you do formatting?
I do! You can choose my premium option if you just need editing and formatting. It's also included in my all-inclusive publishing package, which will take you from manuscript to published book in hand and is the best option for authors who want a full-service solution with high-quality results.
Do I retain my copyright?
Yes! You are the sole 100% full owner of your work and the deliverables produced in the course of our engagement. If I help you publish your book, you get 100% of royalties paid directly to your bank account.
Can I get a quote?
Yes! Simply enter the total number of words in your editable text document into the dropdown field and you'll receive an accurate quote. You can use this approach to place an order, too. Of course, you can always message me and I'll send a custom offer.
What kind of editing does this gig include?
I actually offer two different services through this gig: Developmental Editing and Line Editing. Before starting any job, please let me know which service you're interested in.
What is Developmental Editing?
A detailed critique of your work. It includes inline commentary on structure, style, and language, as well as a separate editorial report with holistic recommendations. I'll highlight what's working, what's not, and offer suggestions for you to consider as appropriate.
What I'm not sure what I need?
Contact me and let me know what your goals are at present for your draft. If you think you may need both services, developmental editing would normally come first. Sometimes for shorter texts it's possible to do both services simultaneously.
What is Line Editing?
This is where I make actual edits to the text, working to improve style, flow, and clarity. I'll add transitional language as needed (within reason), break up or rearrange paragraphs to improve flow, etc. I'll also correct grammar errors as I find them, but this isn't a proofreading service.
