A thorough, professional line edit is an essential part of any author's journey to publishing. I'll ensure your work is consistent in voice, tone, and wording. I'll also be watching carefully for cliché, awkward sentence structure, unclear or contradictory statements, and anything else that might bring down the quality of your work.
What's included:
- Markup of the structure, flow, and impact of your paragraphs.
- Markup at a line level, ensuring each sentence is the best it can be.
- A critique of the work containing 300+ words (or more depending on your project's size). This may be presented either in direct messages to you or as a document, and provides constructive feedback on the overall strengths and weaknesses of your work.

Is this a proofreading service?
No. Although I will keep my eyes open for any spelling and grammar issues, this edit is more focussed on your tone, voice, sentences, and paragraph structure. Usually a proofreading service is the very last edit before a book is published, catching any last errors and fixing the layout.
Is this a developmental edit/beta read?
No, this service only offers small scale editing suggestion for the sentence structure, voice, and tone of your work. However, my critique will likely also offer suggestions for larger scale edits. I also offer developmental editing services. Click on my profile to see my other gigs!
Which genres do you edit?
I am experienced with reading, writing, and editing most genres and am open to clients writing in any genre. However, I am most experienced in editing fantasy, romance, contemporary, and YA stories.
