FAQ
Do you edit poetry?
I am sorry, I do not, though there are many on this platform who specialize in the art.
Do you edit large works?
Yes! I happily edit any size work, from a one-page mission statement to an epic sci-fi, I am addicted to the written word and love each manuscript I get. My average orders range between 30,000 words and 100,000, with outliers greater and smaller.
Do you format the document?
I set the document to the standard format for submission to agents. Formatting for self-publishing is not in my wheelhouse; however, there are many formatters on this platform to help you with that. Always edit before formatting, as edits may harm the formatting done to the MS.
Do you edit children's books?
Yes! I certainly do. I am a mother and am always eager to see the new work going out into the world for our little ones. You will want to edit before formatting and illustrations, as edits may harm the design and formatting you have set in the MS.
Is there a genre you do not edit?
Though I hate to set limits, as I do love all things written, I do not work on horror or abuse. With that said, some works such as memoirs or self-help contain some elements of abuse in reference, and I do not turn those away.
Can I contact you about the work after the order is closed?
Yes! No matter how much time passes, I am here for you and any questions you may have. I keep in touch with the majority of my clients and have most of their books on my shelf. I feel privileged to be a part of your journey and will always help whenever I can, even long after your order closes.
