No. Speed work is done on a staging copy first where the site is complex, and nothing goes live until you've checked it. Your design and content stay exactly as they are.
Why did a caching plugin not fix my speed problem?
Caching only helps after the first byte arrives. If your server response is slow, your database queries are heavy, or your images are 4MB each, caching hides the problem for repeat visitors and does nothing for new ones. That's why I profile before touching anything.
What access do you need?
WordPress admin, hosting or cPanel access, and read access to Search Console. For the audit alone, a URL is enough to start.
How soon will my rankings improve?
Speed is one ranking input among many, so I won't promise a position change. What I can promise is that the technical blockers get cleared. Core Web Vitals field data updates on a 28 day rolling window, so allow a month before judging the effect in Search Console.
