I will recreate your broken or discontinued part as a 3d printable model

About this gig
Broken part that isn't sold anymore? I rebuild it as a clean, accurate 3D model you can print at home or at any print service.
As a mechanical engineer based in Germany, I rebuild parts that are no longer available, from everyday household parts to car components. I work with CAD and 3D scanning, so the new part fits and works like the original.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Send clear photos with measurements, or your scan or STL.
2. In Germany or the EU you can also mail me the part and I'll 3D scan it.
3. I rebuild it in CAD and send you a print-ready file.
WHAT YOU GET
- Clean, print-ready STL
- STEP file (Standard and Premium)
- Recommended material and print settings
- mm or inches, your choice
Good fits: caps, feet, glides, knobs, clips, covers, brackets, holders, trim pieces.
Not offered: safety-critical parts (brakes, steering, suspension, lighting, gas or electrical safety), brand logos or emblems, copies of licensed products.
US clients: due to time difference, files are often ready by your next morning.
Files are for replacement and non-critical use. You decide if the part suits your application, and I'll tell you honestly if I see a problem.

FAQ
Q: What do you need from me?
A: Clear photos from several angles with key measurements, ideally with a ruler or caliper in the shot. If the part is broken, include all pieces. An existing scan or STL works too.
Q: Can I mail you the physical part?
A: Yes, if you're in Germany or the EU. Please message me first and wait for my OK before shipping.
Q: Can you also print the part for me?
A: In Germany and the EU, yes, through a custom offer including material and shipping. Everywhere else you get the file and can print it at home or at a local print service.
Q: Will the part fit on the first try?
A: With good photos and measurements, usually yes. For tight fits I recommend a quick test print. Your revisions cover small adjustments.
Q: Millimeters or inches?
A: Your choice. Just tell me which units your measurements are in and which you want in the file.
Q: What parts can't you do?
A: Safety-critical parts (brakes, steering, suspension, lighting, gas or electrical safety), parts with brand logos or emblems, and copies of licensed or trademarked products
