speed second.
I write SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions
built to handle the edge cases that get missed under time pressure:
nulls, duplicate keys, date boundaries, and unexpected input.
What I do:
- Translate a plain-English requirement into working, tested SQL
- Write stored procedures and views with clear, documented logic
- Build user-defined functions for repeatable calculations
- Comment the code so you or your team can maintain it later
What I don't do: live production database access, or deep performance
tuning (execution plans, indexing strategy). If your issue is a slow
query on a live system, that's a different, more specialized service
than this one happy to point you in the right direction if that's
your actual need.
Background: 20+ years of hands-on SQL experience in banking payment
systems (cheque clearing, EFT, RTGS), development side queries, views,
stored procedures, functions. That same standard for accuracy applies
here.

2. Which SQL platforms do you work with?
SQL Server (T-SQL) is my core, deepest expertise. I can also work from a described schema for MySQL or PostgreSQL if the logic is platform-agnostic.
3. Can you speed up a slow query on my live system?
Not as part of this gig. I focus on correct logic, not execution-plan or indexing analysis. Let me know if you need pointing toward that instead.
4. I don't know exactly what SQL I need, is that OK?
Yes. Describe the problem or the result you want in plain English, and I will translate that into the actual query, procedure, or function.
5. Will the code be documented?
