COPYEDITING: $10 per 1,000 words
Grammar, spelling, punctuation and light sentence corrections.
LINE EDITING: $20 per 1,000 words
The basics plus deeper work on sentence structure, consistency, pacing, transitions and readability.
HEAVY LINE WORK: $40 per 1,000 words
More intensive sentence work and light rewriting for passages that need extra attention. Perfect for AI writing.
Every order includes:
A Word file showing the work done with Track Changes.
A clean Word file with the work applied.

Is Kindle or print formatting included?
Formatting is available through my separate formatting gig. Please message me if you need both editing and formatting so we can discuss the services and their timing.
Do you edit children's books or rhyming stories?
Yes. Please use my separate children's book editing gig for those projects. Message me if you're unsure which service fits your manuscript.
How long will editing take?
The listed five-day delivery applies to the 1,000-word packages. Larger manuscripts need a custom delivery schedule based on their length and editing needs. Send your manuscript and deadline before ordering so I can confirm availability and timing.
Does this include developmental editing or ghostwriting?
This service focuses on editing sentences. I may flag broader issues I notice during a line edit, but a full developmental assessment is outside the scope. Heavy Line Editing includes light rewriting of existing text. Writing new content is not included.
Are revisions included?
Basic does not include revision rounds. Standard and Premium include unlimited revisions to my edits and notes within the original order's scope. New writing or additional readthroughs are outside that revision coverage.
Can you edit in US or UK English?
Yes. Select US or UK English in the order requirements. You can also ask me to retain the manuscript's existing usage. Please discuss any other language variant or style preference with me before ordering.
What files should I send, and what will I receive?
Please send your manuscript as a Word document in .doc or .docx format. You'll receive two Word files: one showing edits with Track Changes and one with the edits applied. You'll need software that displays Word's tracked changes and comments.
How much will editing my entire book cost?
Rates are $10 per 1,000 words for Copyediting, $20 for Line Editing and $40 for Heavy Line Editing. For example, a 50,000-word manuscript would cost $500, $1,000 or $2,000. I'll confirm the editing level and total price before you order.
Can I see a sample edit before ordering?
Yes. Send your manuscript as a Word document and ask for a free sample edit. I usually return samples within 24 hours so you can review my approach before deciding.
Which editing package should I choose?
Choose Copyediting for grammar, spelling, punctuation and light corrections. Line Editing adds work on sentence clarity, consistency and flow. Heavy Line Editing includes more intensive sentence work and light rewriting. A free sample can help us choose.
