Because they measure different things. PageSpeed's lab score is a simulation; Core Web Vitals in Search Console use real-user field data. A site can score well in the lab and still fail with real visitors. I fix the field data — what Google actually ranks on.
What's the difference between speed optimization and Core Web Vitals?
Speed optimization makes your whole site load faster. Core Web Vitals fixes three specific Google ranking metrics — LCP, CLS, and INP. A fast site can still fail CWV (e.g. layout shift or slow interactivity). This gig targets those exact metrics.
Will passing Core Web Vitals improve my rankings?
